*Research and writing assistant for Climate Now video & podcast series*
Climate Now (climatenow.com) is seeking a part-time to full-time researcher
/ writer to help in the development of an ongoing series of videos,
podcasts and newsletters that will clearly articulate and explain key
scientific ideas, arguments, technologies, and events relevant to
anthropogenic climate change and humanity’s efforts to solve it. Climate
Now is a multi-platform resource on the science of climate change that will
cover climate science basics, key technologies (energy technologies, carbon
sequestration, etc), policy opportunities and pitfalls, and other related
topics. The research and writing assistant will aid in the development of
the video concepts, will research and collect relevant data and materials
from public sources, will assist in drafting scripts, and will perform
other work related to the creation of the video series and other aspects of
the project. Candidates should be steeped in climate science and very
familiar with the organizations that publish relevant data, and should have
some experience communicating the complexities of our global energy system
and climate change to others. Time commitment will be 20-40 hours per week;
fully remote work is expected, with regular Zoom meetings with the
