Dear colleagues,

We are looking for a postdoc or PhD student to join us at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) and work in an exciting new collaborative project: VILMA (Virtual laboratory for molecular level atmospheric transformations https://wiki.helsinki.fi/display/VILMA/Home), funded by the Academy of Finland’s Centre of Excellence program.

The role of the prospective student/postdoc at UEF is to study organic aerosol chemistry and its measurements using chemical ionization mass spectrometry (CIMS), including a filter inlet for gases and aerosols (FIGAERO) and an extractive electrospray inlet (EESI). The work is experimental and analytical, and it can include modeling as well as instrument development components.
Besides UEF, VILMA involves Tampere University, Aalto University and the University of Helsinki. With 10 PIs in atmospheric as well as computer science, our goal is to provide truly collaborative and inter-disciplinary research.

More details, plus instructions to apply, at: https://rekry.saima.fi/certiahome/open_job_view.html?did=5600&jc=16&id=000012444&lang=en
For further information and questions, please contact Siegfried Schobesberger (siegfried.schobesberger at uef.fi<mailto:siegfried.schobesberger at uef.fi>)

And of course, feel free to forward to any potentially interested candidates!

Thanks,
