*About the Habitat Strategic Initiative Lead*

The Habitat Strategic Initiative Lead (HSIL) is an interagency program,
co-led by Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) and Department
of Natural Resources (DNR), to advance habitat protection and restoration
in Puget Sound under a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA).  We are committed to fostering an inclusive and
collaborative approach to habitat protection and restoration. We implement
regional habitat recovery strategies by serving connectors across diverse
partners and investing National Estuary Program funds.
