We have opening for two post-doctoral positions in our group at Argonne National Laboratory. A description of the two positions and a link to where the applications should be submitted are as follows:

This post-doctoral appointment in the Environmental Science Division of the Argonne National Laboratory will involve methodological and applied research in regional scale climate modeling. In particular, the focus will be on high-resolution dynamic downscaling, hydrological modeling, impacts and assessments. For this position, we are looking for applicants with experience in the area of climate impacts and assessment using regional scale dynamically downscaled model products. In particular, experience in working on topics about climate/weather extremes and natural disasters such as droughts/wildfire risks; wind/extreme cold; tropical/extra-tropical cyclone induced heavy precipitation and flooding, and others. Strong programming skills to handle large datasets on high-performance computing resources is required. Knowledge about regional or global climate model output as well as climate related observational datasets are required. Good written and oral communication skills are preferred.
