Join Kinetic Analysis Corporation, a company specializing in the provision of a near real-time view of natural hazards and impacts information as well as detailed analyses of how these hazards and impacts might evolve in response to climate change. You will manage the computational resources needed to make this happen and help build out our cloud platform.

You will be responsible for our software systems and network. This will require you to:
ensure the stable operation of our software in the AWS cloud and administrate EC2, S3 and Route 53 services,
provide on-call systems support, and
administrate a sunsetting co-location center with multiple server-class chassis, network infrastructure (l2 switches) and a firewall/proxy/VPN device.
Candidates should have:
practical experience with Linux system administration, AWS CLI and shell scripting, networking, cyber security, and SQL administration
two or more years of experience in multiple areas listed above
The ideal candidate with have:
three or more years of experience with Linux system administration (Centos and RHEL) and shell scripting (Bash)
two or more years of experience with AWS, networking, security and PostreSQL administration
The position will be for an initial term of 6 months with the possibility of the position evolving into a permanent job. Kinetic Analysis Corporation is a “virtual” company so everyone works remotely.
