The IDA Science and Technology Policy Institute (STPI), a non-profit,
federally funded research and development center that provides analytical
support to the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP)
and other federal departments and agencies on S&T policy issues. We
have an *immediate
opening *for a Research Analyst with an *earth, atmospheric, climate,
ecosystem, or environmental science background*. Prospective applicants
should have a Ph.D. (or terminal degree) and *5+ years of research OR
policy experience* after their terminal degree.

IDA STPI has immediate openings for a Research Analyst with an earth,
atmospheric, climate, ecosystem, or environmental science background.
Prospective applicants should have a Ph.D. or a terminal degree in these
fields and demonstrated skills in one or more of qualitative, quantitative,
statistical, or computational methods. Candidates with a strong interest in

*Responsibilities:*



The Research Analyst will work with OSTP, Federal agencies, and interagency
committees and staff to envision, coordinate, and evaluate national
initiatives and policies related to S&T.



*Qualifications:*

·  Ph.D. or a terminal degree in an earth, climate, atmospheric, ecosystem,
or environmental science field, with 5+ years of research or policy
experience after terminal degree.

·  Experience communicating and writing about science and technology policy.

·  Candidates with demonstrated experience working with Federal agencies
are desirable.

·  Experience working and leading in a collaborative environment.

·  Ability to apply technical and analytical skills to a broad portfolio of
science and technology policy issues preferred.

·  Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must
meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
