We seek one or more exceptional Ph.D. students to conduct USDA-funded
independent biogeochemistry research. Activities include conducting
cutting-edge geochemical, microbiological, spectroscopic, and analytical
experiments to better understand the fate of microbial exudates
(siderophores) in soil. Opportunities exist to interact closely with
interdisciplinary collaborators. The home department for the student is
anticipated to be Crop and Soil Sciences or Entomology and Plant Pathology at
NC State University in Raleigh, NC.
