The Biology Department at Rollins College (in Winter Park, FL) is seeking a
Lab Manager to support and coordinate the laboratory portions of its
Biology, Marine Biology and the inter-departmental Molecular/Biochemistry
majors, as well as relevant lab courses in environmental studies, the
Rollins Holt School and Rollins summer programs. This position also
supervises an Assistant Laboratory Manager and four to six student workers
through the Work-Study Program.

The Lab Manager is responsible for all operations aspects of the scientific
materials management for the department (managerial, scientific, and
safety).

   - *Managerial* includes providing support to faculty and students during
   laboratory teaching and research, and covers the acquisition, receiving,
   inventorying, and stocking of all educational and scientific materials in
   the Biology Department.

   - *Scientific* includes knowledge of the scientific techniques used in
   the labs and the use, preparation, servicing, calibration, and discarding
   of all scientific materials in the department.

   - *Safety* includes the development and implementation of safety
   measures to ensure the well-being of students, faculty, and staff when in
   Biology Department areas in the Bush Science Building.
