The Department of Geography at Université de Montréal in Montreal, Canada, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in the field of  Earth  System  Science. This  field  considers  that  all  the  elements  of  the  Earth’s  environment form a complex system  that is currently  undergoing profound  changes  as  a  result  of anthropogenic activity.

Accordingly, the research program of the candidate should examine the relationship between global scale environmental change and human activity. The mobilization of multiple research methods ( field  work,  laboratory,  remote  sensing,  modelling)  would  be  welcomed.  This  position complements  existing  strengths  in  the Department  in  the  study  of  environmental change,  from  both  a  physical  and human geography perspective.  The appointed candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise graduate students, be active in research, publishing, and the diffusion of knowledge, and contribute to the activities of the University.
