About the Position: Fort Lee, Home of Logistic Warriors, is a US Army
installation located near the Tri-Cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights,
and Hopewell, VA. Fort Lee is south of Richmond, the Capital of Virginia.
There are a number of important missions accomplished by the activities
located here. The missions accomplished at Fort Lee include combat and
training development and the professional development of military personnel
through various training programs.

Responsibilities


o   Serves as the Environmental Management System Coordinator

o   Develops policies, guidance for the protection of air, water, soil and
ground water.

o   Interpret federal, state and regulations for the protection of air,
water, soil and ground water.

o   Utilize audits to develop corrective implementation plans for
improvement in a multitude of programs.

o   Ensures contract specifications are written and carried out in absolute
compliance with all Federal, state, and regional statutory criteria.

o   Responsible for managing permits, record-keeping and reporting

o   Identify needs and develop environmental requirements build for new air
quality and Pollution Prevention projects.

Conditions of Employment


o   This position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a
valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to
operate vehicles.

o   This position requires you to obtain or maintain a Lead Based Paint and
Asbestos certification with EPA in accordance with Lead Base Paint
regulations and Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) within three
months of employment.

o   This position requires you to complete Clean Air Act CAA Method 9
Training within six months of employment and annual re-certification.

o   This position requires you to obtain and maintain a National Agency
Check and Inquiries (NACI) clearance.

o   Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement,
OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08), Executive Branch Personnel
Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and
annually.

o   This position requires a pre-employment physical and annual physical
thereafter.

o   This position may require exposure during inclement weather.

o   This position may require wear and use of Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE).

***This is a TERM position. It is a time limited position and may be
extended up to a maximum of six years. This position may be converted to a
permanent. career or career-conditional appointment without further
competition as long as all requirements are met. To be eligible for
conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous
service under a term appointment in the competitive service AND employee
must have a current performance rating under such term appointment of at
least fully successful or equivalent.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience
requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid
experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs
(e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional;
philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will
receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer
experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if
qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes
preparation and maintenance of HAZMAT/HAZWASTE and solid waste plans and
programs. Reviews and analyzes Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) and Hazardous
Waste Minimization (HAZMIN) programs. Performs support work in the review
and development of any future plans, programs, and regulations for HAZMAT,
Hazardous Waste (HAZWASTE), solid waste issues. This definition of
specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower
grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

OR

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of
progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a
field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to
do the work of the position, such as: environmental engineers; environmental
science or a science-related field, such as biology, chemistry, physics,
geosciences, or engineering, natural sciences; natural resources
management;. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and
experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed
percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage
of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then
divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent)
beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add
the two percentages.

o   Environmental Project and Program Management

o   Planning and Evaluating

o   Written Communication


Education


FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges
or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the
education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that
specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such
education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S.
education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S.
