Position Summary

The Research Visiting Scholar for the Department of Chemistry, Physics, Atmospheric Sciences & Geoscience will provide research in the Biomedical Optics Lab.


Qualifications

Minimum Required Education

Candidates with a Ph.D. in Physics, Biophysics, Chemistry, Biochemistry with experience in laser spectroscopy are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Required Experience

Should have experience in laser/optics operations, and MATLAB and/or LabVIEW coding.

Minimum Required Licenses and/or Certifications

None

Preferred Qualifications

None

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The candidate must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

* The research involves the development of a novel Raman imaging system, which includes optical design, system automation, and testing the system with various biological samples.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
