Apply and evaluate meteorology, emissions, and air quality models and related data. The work will involve using atmospheric modeling software to address environmental problems and will include the preparation, manipulation, and analysis of modeled and observed data. Will be required to work with members of the team in the design, implementation, and evaluation of environmental modeling studies. In addition to modeling application tasks, may also participate in some software development projects. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a science research environment that serves the scientific and environmental community. The ability to resolve problems related to meteorology, emissions, and air quality modeling systems and databases including, but not limited to, running atmospheric modeling software, managing large datasets, comparing modeled results to atmospheric observations (surface and satellite data), developing new models of atmospheric processes, and mining data of air pollutant emissions.
