ICON Data Product Updates
The NASA Ionospheric Connection Explorer completed three years of observations during its mission, and work is now underway to provide the final versions of products to the scientific community. Updates to several products are now available on the ICON website and at the NASA Space Physics Data Facility.
Here we note the recent availability of Version 6 of theThermospheric Column O/N2 product, which itself comprises two products – a retrieval from the limb observations of far-UV emissions above the horizon, and another retrieval from the on-disk observations below the horizon. These both come from the ICON FUV instrument observations in daytime.
Details are available in the ICON website including product documentation in PDF formats.

An interim draft of the Calibration, Measurements and Algorithms Document (CMAD) for the ICON mission is linked from that page that contains more information on the retrieved parameters provided in both products.
More updates in the upcoming months are coming for the thermospheric winds and temperatures, day and nighttime O+ profiles, and ion velocities.
