We are pleased to share the publication of the Federal Register Notice
announcing the establishment of the Space Weather Advisory Group and call
for membership nominations. Please find the information below:
Pursuant to the Promoting Research and Observations of Space Weather to
Improve the Forecasting of Tomorrow (PROSWIFT) Act of 2020 and the Federal
Advisory Committee Act (FACA), the Administrator of NOAA, with the Space
Weather Operations, Research, and Mitigation (SWORM) Interagency Working
Group (IWG), announces the establishment of the Space Weather Advisory
Group (SWAG). The SWAG was established for the purpose of receiving advice
from the academic community, the commercial space weather sector, and end
users of space-weather information to inform the activities of the National
Science and Technology Council SWORM-IWG to enhance national preparedness
for space weather events. The announcement also seeks nominations for 15
individuals to be appointed by the SWORM-IWG as members of the SWAG. The
