CEDAR email: Nominations for Alan T. Waterman Award

Dear CEDAR Community,

NSF is soliciting nominations for the Alan T. Waterman Award.  This award is the highest honor awarded by NSF to recognize outstanding young researchers in any field of science and engineering supported by NSF.  This is the first year that geosciences are specified as a scientific domain that nominators can select for the Waterman Awards.   Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.  They must be 40 years of age or younger, or not more than 10 years beyond receipt of their Ph.D. degree, by December 31, 2021.  Nominations are being accepted from July 19 – September 20, 2021.  Please see the attached flyer and a “tips” presentation for more detail.
