Dear Colleagues,

In preparation for the approaching Heliophysics 2050 Workshop (May 3-7), a
series of pre-workshop discussions related to the state of the heliophysics
community/profession will be held. These sessions are meant to guide our
thinking during the workshop and beyond (over the next three decades), as
well as focus the efforts of the heliophysics sub-communities who typically
do not have an open dialog with each other. The results of these sessions
will be available for the heliophysics community at large.

Pre-registration for these meetings is requested here (a meeting link will
be provided in the future): https://forms.gle/9hqnxVUzVHGydzC7A

The sessions will be held over the next 4 weeks at varying times, to
accommodate individual schedules. Additionally, the meetings will be broken
up by career stage, with the first meeting open only to all students,
post-docs and researchers/faculty within 5 years of their terminal degree.
The second meeting will be open to mid-career and senior researchers, with
early-career welcome to join. The third meeting will be open to all and
will serve to summarize and distill the discussions of the previous
meetings.

The first meeting (which is open to all students, post-docs and researchers
within 5 years post-degree) will be *Friday, April 9th from 3:30-5:00pm
Eastern Time*. Please feel free to attend all or part of the session.

Please feel free to pass this email to interested parties.

Best,
Lindsay Goodwin
