Open PhD position at Stockholm university

We are looking for a Ph.D. student who wants to join our team just as the Swedish research satellite MATS is about to be launched. The central goal of the MATS project is to better understand atmospheric dynamics around 70-110 km, an altitude range that in many ways constitutes a transition region between the atmosphere and outer space. An important focus of MATS is on atmospheric gravity waves, which are important not only for the local atmosphere, but also since they drive a circulation that impacts the whole atmospheric system.
