Dear Colleagues,

The Institute of Navigation (ION) Pacific PNT Meeting will be held in Honolulu, Hawaii on Apr 8-11, 2019. We would like to invite you to participate in a special session on COSMIC/FORMOSAT-3.

Since their launch in 2006, the six COSMIC LEO satellites have relied on occultation measurements of GPS signals to infer atmospheric profiles to improve weather forecasting, climate modeling, and ionosphere and space weather monitoring. The resounding success of the project led to a follow-on mission, COSMIC-2/FORMOSAT-7, expected to be launched in 2019. This special session will feature invited presentations and contributed work on all aspects of this exemplifying project and future outlook of the next generation capabilities.

Please note that abstract submission is due on November 1. You can find more information, as well as the abstract submission at:
https://www.ion.org/pnt/call-for-abstracts.cfm <https://www.ion.org/pnt/call-for-abstracts.cfm>

We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!

Sincerely,

Dr. Loren Chang, National Central University, Taiwan
Dr. Bill Schreiner, UCAR, USA
