[Wrf-users] Values in wrfbdy_d01 file

Lately I have been paying a closer look in the wrfbdy and wrfinput files
and I am puzzled at the magnitudes of the values for the variables in
there. For example using NCEP and ECMWF driven fields to force wrf, I get
for example T_BXE (potential temperature in K):

T_BXE(ECMWF) T_BXE(NCEP)
1.39411e+06 115998
1.81327e+06 188628
2.24293e+06 260609
2.73509e+06 331873
3.80242e+06 402352
5.01967e+06 471975
6.38229e+06 540656
7.62647e+06 608314
8.94308e+06 658105
1.12288e+07 705334
1.42254e+07 750532
1.7384e+07 793558
-957765 -593769
-999342 -632783
-1.00038e+06 -633135
-1.00212e+06 -633681
.
.
.

Are these values scaled up in the wrfbdy files and whats up with the
negative values?

Thanks for your help...

Steve
