[ncl-talk] Installation error - Resource directory does not exist

Hi Ryan,

I'm not sure where you got the ***.tar.gz file (our site or a 3rd-party --
we normally don't install anything under ***/lib64 ?), from which directory
you unwrapped the tarball into, and who/what set up the NCARG_***
environment variables for you. That all said, a "canonical" NCL
installation would install everything underneith whatever directory was
designated $NCARG_ROOT. So underneith that directory should appear subdirs
named bin/, include/, lib/, man/. The out-of-place EnvVars in your case
seem to be the EnvVar NCARG_NCARG: the other salient variables point to
/usr/lib64/ncarg, whereas this one points to /usr/share/ncarg (?). Perhaps
check to see if there is a "resfiles" directory under /usr/lib64/ncarg, and
if so, adjust the NCARG_NCARG environment-variable accordingly.

Hope that helps...
Rick
