[ncl-talk] rcm2points and datums

To my knowledge, all commonly used atmospheric models (eg, WRF,
weather prediction models, climate models) use a spherical earth. I
think this is so common that (again, to my knowledge) all
post-processing software documentation just assumes the 'people know'
that is the situation.

For example , the Earth System Modeling Framework (ESMF) regridding
tools assume a spherical earth,
NCL provides an interface to this software. See:
          http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Applications/ESMF.shtml

We can put a comment into the rcm2* functions that states this explicitly.

Happy New Year
