Hello,

It looks as though the data nodes are not all available (nor were they
last week).  As far as I can see the current status is:

vesg.ipsl.fr - ok
dap.cccma.uvic.ca - 503
esg.cnrm-game-meteo.fr - ok
pcmdi3.llnl.gov - ok
tds.ucar.edu - ok
norstore-trd-bio1.hpc.ntnu.no - ok
esgnode1.nci.org.au - 503
dias-esg-nd.tkl.iis.u-tokyo.ac.jp - ok
bmbf-ipcc-ar5.dkrz.de - ok
bcccsm.cma.gov.cn - ok
esg.nccs.nasa.gov - ok
esgdata.gfdl.noaa.gov - 503

(Note: I *may* have filled in the 503 - rather than having a genuine
http status code of 503)

Is there a way of letting users know there are problems and they may not
be able to get all the data?  I know Estani has put together wiki pages
on stats etc of the ESG system, but I'm not sure that's the best place.

Is there an estimate of when the nodes may become available again?

The status list above has been generated by trying to get the root
thredds esgcet catalog of each data node.  I think that's as good a way
as any of finding whether a data node is up or not isn't it?
