The Department of Environmental Studies at Antioch University New England=

(AUNE) seeks a full-time Post-doctoral fellow in its innovative,
interdisciplinary graduate department with programs leading to Master=92s=
 and
Doctoral degrees in Environmental Studies. The position would begin in
August 2016.

We seek a collaborative and highly motivated Post-doc with a PhD in
geography, GIS, landscape ecology, physical/biogeography, conservation
biology, ecology, or related fields.  The desired candidate will have
expertise in both computer hardware and software associated with GIS and =
in
remote teaching technology.  Some experience with R, Python, and open sou=
rce
software is preferred.=20

The position requires engagement with student learning on a semester basi=
s,
teaching face-to-face and hybrid courses (weekday and weekend delivery
models with a combination of classroom and on-line learning).  The select=
ed
candidate will teach graduate courses at the introductory and advanced GI=
S
level and provide technical expertise and support in GIS and remote sensi=
ng
to the AU community (faculty, staff, and students). The fellow will also
coordinate the activities in the AUNE Center of Spatial Analysis and Remo=
te
Sensing including daily operations and maintenance as well as administrat=
ive
and technical support for its computer technological infrastructure
(including both hardware and software).  Monthly travel to our Seattle an=
d
Los Angeles campus to deliver GIS classes is required.=20=20
