The Department of Environmental Studies at Antioch University New England=<br>

(AUNE) seeks a full-time Post-doctoral fellow in its innovative,<br>
interdisciplinary graduate department with programs leading to Master=92s=<br>
and<br>
Doctoral degrees in Environmental Studies. The position would begin in<br>
August 2016.<br>
<br>
We seek a collaborative and highly motivated Post-doc with a PhD in<br>
geography, GIS, landscape ecology, physical/biogeography, conservation<br>
biology, ecology, or related fields. The desired candidate will have<br>
expertise in both computer hardware and software associated with GIS and =<br>
in<br>
remote teaching technology. Some experience with R, Python, and open sou=<br>
rce<br>
software is preferred.=20<br>

The position requires engagement with student learning on a semester basi=<br>
s,<br>
teaching face-to-face and hybrid courses (weekday and weekend delivery<br>
models with a combination of classroom and on-line learning). The select=<br>

candidate will teach graduate courses at the introductory and advanced GI=<br>
S<br>
level and provide technical expertise and support in GIS and remote sensi=<br>
ng<br>
to the AU community (faculty, staff, and students). The fellow will also<br>
coordinate the activities in the AUNE Center of Spatial Analysis and Remo=<br>
te<br>
Sensing including daily operations and maintenance as well as administrat=<br>
ive<br>
and technical support for its computer technological infrastructure<br>
(including both hardware and software). Monthly travel to our Seattle an=<br>
d<br>
Los Angeles campus to deliver GIS classes is required.=20=20<br>
