Hi all,
With implementation of new GFS 0.25 degree, TMP at 0-0.1 m, 0.1-0.4 m,
0.4-1.0 m, and 1-2 m will be renamed to the more accurate name of Soil
Temperature (TSOIL)
This will require a change to the Vtable.GFS file for the ungrib program to
pick up the renamed fields.
I have tested unsuccessfully these changes in Vtable.GFS :
Test n°1 :
>From the current Vtable.GFS .....
11 | 112 | 0 | 10 | ST000010 | K | T 0-10 cm below ground layer
(Upper) | 0 | 0 | 0 | 106 |
11 | 112 | 10 | 40 | ST010040 | K | T 10-40 cm below ground
layer (Upper) | 0 | 0 | 0 | 106 |
11 | 112 | 40 | 100 | ST040100 | K | T 40-100 cm below ground

The updated Vtable.GFS lines....

Test n°2 :
The updated Vtable.GFS lines....

layer (Upper) | 2 | 0 | 2 | 106 |
2 | 112 | 100 | 200 | ST100200 | K | T 100-200 cm below ground
