Session on Aerosol-Cloud Interaction Representations in Regional and Global Models

This session will focus on methods of representing aerosol-cloud interactions in regional and global models. We are looking for oral and poster presentations on droplet activation and ice nucleation in models, including methods for determining size distributions and composition and confronting the scale separation between the resolution of regional and global models and the physical scales on which cloud droplets and ice crystals form. Presentations on scavenging and removal processes are also welcome, as are presentations on macrophysical and microphysical responses of clouds and cloud systems to changes in aerosols and presentations on evaluation of aerosol-cloud interactions in regional and global models using process models and observations from satellites and field experiments.
