[Wrf-users] WRFDA with moisture observations only

I am using WRF 3.3.1 with WRFDA, assimilating observations from  
thermodynamic profilers (T+Q).  I had a strange result, and so I  
decided to try assimilating only the temperature, and only the water  
vapor, to see what impact this had.  However, it seems that WRFDA is  
not including my moisture only observations.  I understand that  
moisture is included in both the dewpoint temperature and the relative  
humidity, and to avoid including temperature signal in my results, I  
set the dewpoints to missing values.  Is this why the moisture  
observations are being excluded?  How would I do this experiment  
correctly?
