I am having problems running metgrid on a pair of grib files from the NCAR
ERA40 Archive.
I have had a successful run in the past. I assumed the grib files were
corrupt and so I downloaded a new pair and I am still unsuccessful. There
haven't been any major changes to the Vtable and namelist. There was a
compiler update (PGI 6.2) a few weeks ago, so I recompiled WRF/WPS using the
previous version of the compiler (PGI 6.1). However, I'm still receiving
the same warning. Geogrid and ungrib are both successful.

Another colleague has also had successful runs using ERA40 data in the past,
however he has also had an unsuccessful run of metgrid in his recent attempt
using WRF Domain Wizard.
Any help on this issue will be much appreciated!
