Hi Arnold

Yes I did compile netcdf from source and told it where to find the G95 
executable so that it could build the fortran-90 interface. I'm sure that 
this portion worked OK. It was when I subsequently tried to build WRF (v2.1) 
that I had a lot of trouble with G95. Note that I have not tried WRF v2.2 
yet, but plan to do so soon; neither have I tried gfortran yet.

If you have any further advice on using Gfortran or G95 for use with WRF, 
please pass it along :)
