[Wrf-users] gen_be, background error

 Hello WRF Users,

 Could you explain me in brief how to create background error files
(gen_be)? For what they are? Are they critical for the running of WRF
model? Can I run the WRF in realtime mode using the background error
files (be_cv.2-5) which comes from the 3dvar test data?
