We are pleased to announce the release of the TIE-GCM v2.0 model to the
upper atmosphere research community. Downloads and documentation can be
found at these URLs:

Main TGCM Website:

User Guide:

TGCM Download Page:
  http://www.hao.ucar.edu/modeling/tgcm/download.php

To download the model source code and startup data, go to the above
Download Page, where you will be asked to provide an email address
(a password is not necessary), and download these two files:

  tiegcm2.0.tar (30 MB source code)
tiegcm2.0_res5.0_data.tar (1.5 GB netCDF data files)

After extracting these tar files into a large storage area on your
64-bit Linux machine, there will be a README.download file with
instructions on how to build the model and execute a short default
run at the 5-degree model resolution. The instructions also describe
how to switch to the 2.5-degree resolution, for which you will
need to download

  tiegcm2.0_res2.5_data.tar (3.8 GB).

Thank you for your interest. For questions or comments, please
reply to this message, or send email to the moderated list
tgcmgroup at ucar.edu (your message will not be sent to all members
of the list unless it is of general interest).
