Tenure Track Faculty: Tropical Meteorology
Rutgers University - School of Environmental and Biological Sciences
The Department of Environmental Sciences, School of Environmental and
Biological Sciences, Rutgers University, invites applicants for a tenure-track
faculty position in tropical meteorology. Candidates with expertise in any
aspect of Tropical Meteorology are encouraged to apply, but expertise relevant
to the interactions between tropical cyclones and climate is of particular
interest. Applicants should demonstrate a potential for high-quality teaching
as well as for developing a well funded and nationally recognized research
program. Rutgers values interdisciplinary research, and opportunities for
collaboration exist through the Climate and Environmental Change Initiative,
the Center for Environmental Prediction, and the Institute for Marine and
Coastal Sciences. The successful candidate will teach in the undergraduate
Meteorology Program and the Atmospheric Science Graduate Program.

file) to the Chair of the Tropical Meteorology Search Committee, at
search at envsci.rutgers.edu. Applications must include a letter of interest, a
curriculum vitae, a detailed research vision, a statement of teaching
philosophy, and the names and contact information for three referees.
Application review will commence October 1st, and continue until the positions
have been filled. The position is contingent on final budget approval. Rutgers
