Dear Colleagues,
The School of Mathematical Sciences at University College Dublin is
announcing a permanent position in the general area of Applied
Mathematics -- see ad below for details. The School counts an active
meteorology and climate group (see http://mathsci.ucd.ie/met ) and we
would like to encourage applications from colleagues in related
disciplines, including theoretical and/or computational GFD, ocean/
atmosphere/planetary general circulation theory, Earth system
science, turbulence and boundary layer theory, predictability,
numerical methods, and environmental modelling in general.
The position is at the Lecturer level, roughly equivalent in role and
responsibility to an Assistant Professor in the US system. There is
no tenure-track system in Ireland, and the position is permanent from
the outset. Please note that the closing date of 7 March is strictly
enforced.
We'd be obliged if you would pass this information along to anyone
who might be interested. Feel free contact myself or Peter Lynch
(peter.lynch at ucd.ie) for informal inquiries.
Regards,
Rodrigo Caballero
