[ncl-talk] Weighted standard deviation

Hello NCL people,
 
I was surprised to find no NCL functions to compute weighted standard 
deviation. Is there one or do I need to make my own?
 
Related question: is the standard deviation in dim_standardize weighted? 
That would probably make a difference when standardazing across the 
latitude.
