[ncl-talk] Error plotting time series with spatial averaging

Hi NCL users,

I am trying to plot a time series of observed SMAP and simulated surface
soil moisture. The plots from the attached script are empty, i.e., they do
not have anything plotted on them as the arrays used to plot them are
printed as missing values. However, the variables used for spatial
averaging do contain values but since observed SMAP L3 is a data with
different swaths covering the earth at different times, it is not
continuous data for all days and all grid points. Although observed data is
not continuous, it still has data that can be plotted in the time series.
However, neither observed nor simulated are plotted in the time series.

I have attached a script as well as screenshots and variable details and
plot that I obtained in the files.

Any suggestions are very helpful!!

Thank you,
Jetal
