[ncl-talk] Question on mjoclivar_3.ncl

Dear NCL-experts,

I would like to apply this example to my one dimensional data (40 summers)
following the mjoclivar_3.ncl example

Attached are my sample data and script.

I would just like to compute the explained variance of the filtered time
series:
(filtered_variance/unfiltered_variance)*100

I think I'm applying the function incorrectly. I am getting one value at
multiple time steps. Perhaps, this should be taken as an average for the 40
summers.?
I'll appreciate any help on how to do this correctly in NCL.

Sincerely,
Lyndz
