[ncl-talk] Issue with namelist when using strings with spaces

Hi there,

I made a namelist and one of my string variables has a city with spaces in
between. By the guide on your site, spaces are treated as delimiters. Thus,
I followed the guidance to use "<...>" to treat it as one string. However,
even when doing this, I still get two strings. Is there a glitch? I have
version 6.6.2.

Variable: cwa_cities
Type: string
Total Size: 248 bytes
            31 values
Number of Dimensions: 1
Dimensions and sizes: [31]
Coordinates:
Number Of Attributes: 1
  _FillValue : missing
(0) <Chapel
(1) Hill>

Thanks,
