[ncl-talk] Issue with plotting wind vector barbs?

Dear ncl-talk,

I am plotting the RTMA mesoscale analysis. When I plot the wind vectors as
barbs on the map, I get isolated spots of "circles", which I assume is
related to the high resolution of the analysis product (2.5 km), where
there may be weak surface wind speeds.

I guess my question is, is there anyway to remove these areas from the
plotting part? My image is attached.

Thanks,
