Hi All,

We just wanted to provide a quick update on some recent developments from the GeoCAT team.

First, we’ve created a new blog on the GeoCAT web site from which to help share information from the team. The blog is available here:

https://geocat.ucar.edu/blog/

Second, we recently held a plotting hackathon to convert a number of NCL plotting scripts into Python equivalents using Matplotlib and Cartopy. Over 20 NCL example scripts representing a variety of plotting styles were translated into Python. A detailed description of this effort is available in our first blog post:

https://geocat.ucar.edu/blog/2020/03/02/geocat-plotting-examples

We encourage you to read the post, explore the plots and scripts, and provide us you’re feedback.

We very much look forward to hearing from you!

The GeoCAT Team.
