[ncl-talk] Regridding

The *rgrid2geocircle*
<https://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Applications/Scripts/grid2geocircle.ncl> function
uses *nggcog*
<https://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Functions/Built-in/nggcog.shtml> to
approximate the 'circle' around a given location. Degrees of latitude are
the units.
 *css2c* <https://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Functions/Built-in/css2c.shtml>
is used to translate the geocircle latitude(s) and longitude(s) to
Cartesian coordinates;

When circular lat/lon are translated to/from spherical  coordinates to
cartesian coordin, I speculate there is some distortion. ALso, the map
projection can affect the 'look.'
