Hi Brian,
gsnColorRange was a user-contributed function, and to my knowledge is not included in any NCL library. You can access the code for it in example 4 from the symmetric color table applications page:
http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Applications/contoursym.shtml#ex4
http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Applications/Scripts/contoursym_4.ncl
One can either put the code at the beginning of each script (as was done in example #4), or put it in a separate file and load the file at the top of each script.
Hope that helps!
Adam

In the recent past I used the “gsnColorRange” function, but I recently changed my installation and now it’s not being found when I run my code. I used conda to install version 6.6.2
Do I need to “load” something?
Thanks!
