[ncl-talk] Calculation of CAPE using NCEP-R2 Reanalysis

Dear NCL experts,

I would like to calculate CAPE from the NCEP-R2 reanalysis data set using
the wrf_cape_3d function in NCL.

I have the p, t, q, zsfc, psfc but I dont have the z (model height in
meters) for the input.

Any advice on how should I derive this?

I'll appreciate any help.
