Hi Jie,It looks like a bug was introduced to pie_chart after NCL 6.4.0. I have attached a version of pie_chart that will work. Note you will have to load the attached function at the top of your script to use it. The new function is called pie_chart2. Note: There is no support for this function, or the original pie_chart function.

Hi NCL Experts:


Does anyone meet the problem in current Pie Chart script?
I just learn the Pie Chart from http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Applications/pie_chart.shtml , which looks not difficult. However, the example script does not work with imply as:
 "Error occured at or near line 4172 in file $NCAR_ROOT/lib/ncarg/nclscripts/csm/shea_util.ncl"
fatal:Number of subscripts do not match number of dimensions of variable,(2) Subscripts used, (1) Subscripts expected

I would appreciate if anyone could help.
