how can remove the error of the lines below?

ncl 62> data = where(data_raw.gt.data_hdf4 at valid_range( -8000, 1000 ) .and. data_raw.lt.data_hdf4 at valid_range( -8000, 1000 ), data_raw, data_hdf4 at _FillValue)
warning:Attempt to reference attribute (valid_range) which is undefined
