[ncl-talk] Plot of concentration subtraction from two data sets

Hello NCL Support,

We are trying to find a script that would "subtract" the calculated monthly averaged ozone (o3) concentrations in netcdf format, and then plot the gridded concentration difference on a NCL plot. The individual 1-hour wrfout_d01* output files for July of a given year add up to 743 files, considering 24 files per day and 31 day for the month. The end result could be a visual representation of a gridded o3 average concentration subtraction from two different WRF-Chem mechanisms, for that specific month.

Also attached you will find the current wrf_hrly_to_monthly.ncl and plot_avg_o3_month.ncl scripts, which we currently use to post-process the 743 individual 1-hour wrfout_d01* files for o3 for the entire month of July. Also attached is a sample post-processed image belonging to the same month.

Would appreciate any comments or feedback with the above issue.
