[ncl-talk] About cnLowLabelBackgroundColor and color mistake when overlay.

For question 1, you should be able to use a RGBa color to set the
background to partially transparent.  For example setting

  yourRes at cnLowLabelBackgroundColor = (/ 1., 1., 1., 0.5/)

You set the color to partially transparent white.  If you are unfamiliar
with RGBa colors, you might take a look at:

http://ncl.ucar.edu/Applications/rgbacolor.shtml

I don't know what the issue is for your second question.
