[ncl-talk] NCL handles text files, right?

I have text files of columns of statistics which I want to present in a
graphical presentation. It has been years since I have done any NCL
programming. At this time, I don't see any reference to text files in the
documentation at ncl.ucar.edu.

Can I work with these text files using NCL? Maybe NCL has grown to work
strictly with NetCDF and related / similar types of files?
