Hi Jeff,
For Lambert Conformal grids (e.g. NARR, WRF, DAYMET), I'd recommend
rcm2points_Wrap

For lat/lon grids (e.g. CESM), I'd recommend using linint2_points_Wrap
<https://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Functions/Contributed/linint2_points_Wrap.shtml>
