[ncl-install] libgfortran.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Hello,

I'm trying to install NCL on Ubuntu 17.10. I have downloaded the
binaries and installed it in /usr/local/ncl-6.4.0.

I have set the path and when I run ncl I get:

libgfortran.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Am I missing something? I don't see any mention of this in the
installation instructions.
