[ncl-install] Fortran for 64 bit IMac?

Hi Joe,

All of the NCL developers are using 64-bit Macs, so this shouldn't be a problem.

If you download the NCL binary for MacOS 10.6, this will be a 64-bit binary.

As Bryan mentioned, you should be able to use macports to get gfortran. I believe the compiler that gets installed is 64-bit by default, but you can force it to compile in 32-bit mode (if you need to) by using the -m32 option. I don't recommend this, however. It's better to try to stay in native 64-bit mode as much as possible.
